Quordle Helper

Four boards, one set of guesses. Type each guess into every board, click the tiles to match the colors you got, and see what's left standing on all four.

Setup

Tap an empty tile to type the word. Then pick a color below and tap the tiles it applies to — letters start gray, so you usually only tap the yellows and greens. Long-press a tile to pick its color directly. Leave unused rows blank.

About Quordle Helper

Quordle is four Wordle puzzles at once. In the daily Classic mode you get nine guesses, every guess is played against all four boards simultaneously, and each board gives you its own colour feedback. The four answers are unrelated, so information that cracks one board tells you nothing about the others.

That changes the strategy completely. In Wordle you can afford to chase a hunch; in Quordle you cannot, because a guess spent on one board is a guess taken from the other three. The usual approach is to spend the first two or three guesses on letter coverage and only then start closing boards out.

Quordle is published by Merriam-Webster, which acquired it in January 2023 — it is not a New York Times game, which is the most common mix-up. Alongside daily Classic there are easier and harder variants and a Sequence mode where the boards unlock one at a time.

How to use it

  1. 1

    Enter each board separately

Track the four grids independently. A letter ruled out on board one may still be live on board three.

  2. 2

Work the board with the most information first

Whichever board has the most greens is usually closest to solvable. Closing it frees up guesses for the rest.

  3. 3

Read the candidates for all four

Seeing the remaining possibilities side by side makes it obvious which board is nearly done and which still needs coverage.

Frequently asked questions

How many guesses do you get in Quordle?
Nine in the daily Classic mode, and each guess is played against all four boards at the same time. The gentler Chill mode gives you more and the Extreme mode gives you fewer.
Is Quordle a New York Times game?
No. Quordle is published by Merriam-Webster, which acquired it in January 2023. The New York Times publishes Wordle, Spelling Bee, Letter Boxed and Connections.
What is a good Quordle opening strategy?
Use the first two or three guesses on words that cover as many common letters as possible rather than trying to solve a board. Coverage early pays for itself across four puzzles.
Should I solve one board at a time?
Once you have broad letter coverage, yes — finish whichever board is closest, because a solved board stops competing for your remaining guesses.
Are the four answers related to each other?
No. They are drawn independently, so eliminating a letter on one board says nothing about the others.
