About Letter Lock Solver
Letter Lock is the daily puzzle mode in Words With Friends 2. You get a row of columns, each one a vertical reel of letters you scroll up and down, and you spell words by lining up one letter from each column. Find enough valid words and you unlock another column, which means longer words and a harder puzzle.
The goal is not a single answer. There is a word-count target for each length — so many four-letter words, so many five-letter words — and the puzzle is complete when you have unlocked every column and hit every target. That is what makes it exhausting to brute-force by hand: five columns of four letters is 1,024 combinations, and you need to find dozens of hits inside them, not one.
This solver takes the letters each column can show and returns every real word the lock is capable of spelling. It is not affiliated with Zynga or Words With Friends.
How to use it

Set the column count to match what you have unlocked
Use Add and Remove so the number of columns matches the puzzle in front of you right now. Columns equal word length, so five columns find the five-letter words. When you unlock another column, come back and add one.

Type every letter each column can show
Scroll each reel and enter all the letters on it. If the first column carries A, B and C, type ABC. Order does not matter.

Solve, then work down the list
You get every word the lock can spell at that length. Cross off the ones already in your found-word list and work through the rest until the progress bar fills.
Tips
A long list is the point
Unlike most solvers, more results is better here. You are not hunting one answer — you need to hit a word-count target at each length, so a lock producing forty words is forty chances to fill the bar.
Re-solve after every unlock
Adding a column changes the puzzle completely: the new position multiplies every combination, and the word length you are hunting goes up by one. The results from your five-column solve tell you nothing about the six-column board.
Watch for reels you only half-scrolled
The most common reason a word is missing from the results is a letter left off a column. If a word you know is valid does not appear, recheck the reel you scrolled fastest.

- Almost always a letter missing from a column. Scroll each reel to the end and make sure you have entered everything on it.
- Does using a solver affect my timer?
- The in-game timer pauses when you leave the puzzle, so looking something up does not run it down. This solver has no connection to the game and cannot see or change your progress.
